THE PRIMARY DUTY & RESPONSIBILITIES: 


  •   In charge of creating and putting into action efficient employee relations strategies and initiatives to promote a good work environment.


  • Creating and maintaining HR policies and practises while making sure they adhere to legal standards and best practises. To address new challenges and foster a positive workplace culture, policies should be reviewed and updated as necessary.





  • Resolving disagreements, complaints, and disputes as well as counselling management on issues including discrimination, sexual harassment, and equal employment opportunity.


  •  Successfully resolving employee complaints to enhance the working and post-employment experiences of professors and staff.


  •  Assures compliance with all labour laws and rules.


  • Handling legal matters pertaining to the hiring of academics and employees, etc.

  •  Handling disciplinary issues that the appropriate authority refers to you for in compliance with policy and SOP.


  • Maintain close communication and coordination with cross-functional teams, including senior management, legal counsel, and business partners in HR, to guarantee the successful handling of employee relations issues.


  •  Starting fair disciplinary action in line with applicable laws and IBA standards, including but not limited to show cause, warnings, inquiries, and processes.


  • Ensuring that IBA policies, SOPs, and the Code of Conduct are implemented in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.


  • sending out letters of caution, justifications, and enquiries; holding counselling sessions; and participating in formal or informal complaints, grievances, disagreements, etc.


  •  Ensuring compliance with approved HR policies for all HR Operations functions.


  • Participating in disciplinary and grievance committees as HR's representative, which includes writing up and distributing meeting minutes, action items, and their follow-up.


  •  Completing any additional responsibilities that may sometimes be allocated by the manager.


REQUIREMENTS & EXPERIENCE:


• The incumbent must hold an LLB (which is recommended), a certificate in industrial relations, and a Master's degree in human resources from a HEC-recognized institution.


• At least 8 to 10 years of experience in employee relations or labour relations in a respectable company; exposure to the public sector is a plus.


SKILLS & COMPETENCES:


• Thorough familiarity with employment-related laws, rules, and best practises.


• Proven track record of conducting investigations and addressing complicated employee relations issues.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to foster confidence and uphold secrecy.


• A track record of successfully influencing and advising stakeholders at all organisational levels.


• Effective conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.


• Capacity to function well in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.
